Short And SweetWhen casting for this shoot I was looking for a blonde but after receiving the comp cards from Chadwick's my attention swayed towards a dark haired model that caught my attention that I thought would be wonderful to shoot for this editorial. But just in case I couldn't get her I covered myself as always with a second option. This is what I do when I try to book models for LaMode. So after a few emails with her agent I decide to go with my second option which was really my FIRST!!! as I wanted a blonde in the first place!!!! Funny how it all pans out in the end.
Shoots are never easy to produce no matter how big or small. But all shoots for LaMode are big!! e.g making sure the concepts are right the styling works and the make-up and hair gels and the the list goes on. In the end the story below is the finished result. With Winter coming thick and fast in Australia the jerseys in this editorial "Short and Sweet" should come in hand as well as the amazing dress from Asilio should be a nice fit on any day/night out. As for the lighting in "Short and Sweet" if you are a regular reader of LaMode you will know that I love to shoot on location which means I prefer to shoot with natural light but as I have always said in the past it's how you use the light that creates the mood of your shoot .....Well that's partly how you create the mood for a fashion shoot. In saying that I used just one light to keep it nice and simple and placed it accordingly to get my effect. Look out for my interview and editorial with Zadie and Corina.
