Turning a Corner
Turning the corner is something that everyone does at some stage in their life, and for LaMode magazine this is nothing new.
When you have been doing something for so long and you know it is your passion, and then you learn a new skill, and find that you really enjoy doing it. Slowly you can call it your new passion or we could call it your passion number two. And then slowly but surely you find it takes over passion number one. What do you do? You follow it and make sure that it is enslaved into yourself, to make sure that it is there for ever?
And where is this going you ask? Have you been through a career change? LaMode magazine new love for video editing is slowly taking over the love of photography.
Don’t worry LaMode will always be shooting stills, but with the world changing at such a speedy rate. Video is something that we cannot pass up.
Technology has a lot to do with it. Computers, mirrorless cameras, and light sources that seem to be getting smaller but still being able to pack a punch. The programs that enable you to create, what we only dreamed of doing 20 years ago. Can now be done inside your home, and with a bit of skilling up, you can shoot and edit a short film in next to no time.
That is why you have seen a video as well as stills in almost every LaMode editorial from the last 18 months. And that is why you will be seeing and hopefully watching all the future videos that I have edited for LaMode magazine. We are not saying that video editing is easy to do, like reading a book, far from it. What LaMode is trying to do is embrace what is in the now.
On that note, LaMode magazine has a hat full of new content on its way, some of it has been shot and edited recently and some of it a few months ago but we only have now decided to publish it, which will be very soon.
So, till we publish all the new editorials for you to read and check out.
Enjoy Turning of the Corner.

LaMode is a global online magazine in a blog-style format, or what I would like to call a onlineZine. With a focus on Fashion, Swimwear and Culture editorials. LaMode Magazine is not seasonal with its editorials because we like to shoot imagery that is on point to what we think will entertain you as the reader from our point of view.
