Summer is Never Gone to Far

What is art? .....now isn't that a interesting question to throw around? I myself have a answer to that, but I am not too willing to open up to that just yet. But before I do give you my answer, I would like to say this. When you see a beautiful scene like a sun set or a beach setting like on the following images below. What goes through your head??? Do you feel a sense of peace or relaxation. Or nothing at all, I think art should envoke a reaction of some kind, don't you think?? A example of that would be "do you like it or hate it" what do you feel at the time. Close your eyes for a few seconds and look at it again and think to yourself ........what do you feel??

I think as a artist or should I say a photographer, there is a massive debate on that subject, but I will leave that for another time to write about.

But as mentioned, as a photographer I love getting feedback on what people think of my work. After all these years of shooting I will never get offended if someone doesn't like my work and if they do then ......well that is always a compliment isn't it?? 

As a photographer it's about having something to say or a point of view. It's not just creating pretty pictures, it took me a long time to work that out for myself. And now when ever I am shooting, not just fashion or swimwear, but my landscapes as well, I am trying to get a message across to the viewer. I think that also depends on where they see my work, if it is here on LaMode or my Instagram there is always going to be a caption or a blurb like this, that is going to create a feeling for what I am trying to say with my photography, but if it is my images on there own. Like here on my photography website: www.gcphotography.net  then I am communicating a message across to who ever is looking at my work, and evoking a reaction of some description.
