Mind over Matter.
Why are we so obsessed with our body’s
A bit of a odd question isn’t it? Is it a health thing or is it image thing? You know the saying “if you have a healthy body you will have a heath mind”. But do we train to impress other people or do we train to impress our self? I think the answer to that is split right down the middle.
We see it in the media all the time, a celebrity taking a selfie and posting it on Instagram and then everyone going nuts over it, if you are on Instagram check out Jenifer Lopez profile. I think she is a classic example of someone keeping them self in shape. Jenifer is 50 years old and doesn’t look any older than 30. Which I have to admit is pretty dam unreal for someone that has had a kid and is still trucking big time in the entertainment industry.
I think we train to look good for our self, first and foremost. But then again who doesn’t?
For most of us we love to show off our body when we get the chance regardless where we are and what we are doing. The beach is a place that a lot of people like to do this, I personally love going to the beach when I can but crinch when I look around and see what is on offer and some of the eye candy that is around. But training is not for everyone as you know and it is hard work to maintain a really good body. I think as we get older we tend to not too not worry to much about our body’s and focus more on our minds more than anything else.
Because our minds will give us more of a work out than our body’s when we reach a certain age.
