A part of what LaMode is all about is profiling some of the talent that works on the editorials. In this case it's the amazing Zadie our model who modelled in "Short and Sweet" a couple of weeks ago. She hasn't been modelling that long but has a massive future ahead of her as you will see in the pic's below. I had a chance to take some time out and have a chat to her about the industry, her like and dislikes and what it is like to be in front of the camera.
Q/ Whats the most interesting thing you find being a model.
A/Every shoot is so different , always a different team and mood board, so you never know what to expect.Everyone has such a different ideas and I think that's the most interesting part, seeing the ideas come to life.
Q/What goes through your head when you are in front of the camera.
A/I still get really nervous because I haven't been modelling for very long, I'm constantly wondering if it looks good and sometimes I feel pretty silly ....hahaha
Q/Your favourite job to date.
A/I did a two-day parade at the Whitehouse institute of design and I LOVED IT!!! That's when I realized that modelling is something I would really want to do.
Q/Were do you want to take your modelling career e.g do you want to travel overseas NYC perhaps
A/I would love to travel with modelling! Getting paid to travel is seriously the dream; hopefully sometime soon I can make that happen. I'd love to go to New York, that would be insane; India and Asia are also high on the list of places I would like to visit.
Q/Likes and dislikes about modelling and the fashion industry.
A/I find that there is a lot of pressure that comes with being a model, I am constantly comparing myself to other models. Which can be hard to avoid sometimes. It can be pretty exhausting too, but so worth it if you get great pictures. I love how social it is and getting my hair done. I am constantly learning new things and meeting new people and I love that to!!!
LaMode is a global online magazine in a blog-style format, or what I would like to call a blogZine. With a focus on Fashion, Swimwear and Culture editorials. LaMode Magazine is not seasonal with its editorials because we like to shoot imagery that is on point to what we think will entertain you as the reader with our point of view.
