Around The WorldI have had the pleasure of working with Brittaney twice over the last 4 years and each time I have worked with her there seems to be a connection straight way when we are shooting (Which is very important when you are working with a model or vice versa) That wouldn't be hard to do considering how long she has worked in the industry, not just here in Australia but not to mention Milan, Paris and Asia. Scoring major campaigns and editorials for big name clients. So when I got a text from her (yes we are friends as well) to do a shoot for her modeling school I jumped at the chance to work with again!!!! I also managed to fit in a interview with her about her career, her recently started modeling school and why she jumped into this sometimes hearting but very very rewarding industry. Don't for get to check out the BTS video as well for a cheeky look at me and Brittaney working!! Q:What made you want to get into modelling? A:When I was younger I was quite overweight and when I looked at pictures of models they inspired me to recreate myself. Once I lost the weight I was then spotted by a photographer who put me forward to a major modelling agency and it all started from there. Q:What's the most fun part about your job? A:Getting to meet amazing people and travelling to incredible locations. Q:You have recently opened a modelling school, what made you want to do that? A:A lot of young girls have been approaching me over the years for modelling advice and how to get into modelling, so I realised there is real demand for something like this to be accessible from anywhere in the world. Therefore online was the natural progression for this so that people could do it in the comfort of their own home and as many times as they need to. Also there's very little information available about how the industry really works. So I decided to open up and share what really happens in the industry. I absolutely love helping people developed their skills and encouraging them to go for their dreams in life. Here's a link to the model school www.modelschool.brittaneyjohnston.com Q:Is there any thing you don't like about modelling? A:Every single profession has its draw backs, however I wouldn't be doing this still if I didn't love it. It is a lot of hard work and you have to be thoroughly committed to become successful. Q:You have traveled a lot for work what is your favourite country and city? A:Yes I have, pretty much all over the globe however I do really love Paris it's so beautiful and absolutely love the architecture. Q:Is there a favourite shoot that you have worked on? Editorial and commercial? A:I absolutely loved shooting for Marie Claire when I was on The Face Australia... Such a beautiful elegant editorial. Plus we got to shoot in an incredible old mansion. I recently did a music video for Phil Hancocks lastest song 'Orchsetra' we had to run across fields of super long grass filled with cobblers pegs, crawl through drain pipes with spiders and other creepy crawlies, run across unstable bridges and shoot in spooky old buildings :) all and all so much fun! It was a full two days until midnight of shooting :) Photographer: Geoffrey Chuah@www.gcphotography.net Swimwear: Kezini@www.Kezini.com Brittaney Johnston@London management and Que Models Social media accounts.
