I am never one to turn down a opportunity to work with some of the top faces in the industry. And when Elyse.M name popped up on the radar again for this editorial for LaMode I jumped at the chance to work with her Elyse, is with Chadwicks in Australia, Sydney and from the much famed agency in New York, Wihelmina's. I am very lucky to get to work with the models that I do for LaMode, and if you follow my Instagram you will see that I mentioned in one of the blurb's that I ranked her as the top face that I worked with this year.
Modeling is not just about being a pretty face, not by any means. There are different kinds of models just like there are different kinds of camera's. One model may not work in fashion that much as a fashion model may not work that well in the swimwear industry. But the one thing that all models have in common is that they are in proportion and most are not shorter than 5'8 which is pretty standard if you want to work as a photographic model. I lot of people have asked me, what models are like ......that's when I laugh out really loud and then proceed to say they are like anyone else and are normal or ad-normal in some eyes and have feelings like everyone else.
So what defines a amazing model? In my opinion it's there face no two ways about it. Not only will they look drop dead amazing in person but they will also photograph even better and not to mention they will be versatile, versatile meaning, that they will be able to pull off any look that the photographer or client will want them to look like. Take for Elyse instance, at certain angels she would look like Carolyn Murphy and then in the next shot she would look like something completely different, but she would still have that aurora about her that will make you go wow. And trust me not all models have that aurora about them.
This online publication is a lot of hard work, but I love every minute of it and would love for you the "readers" to keep coming back to check out what I have in store for you next year.
LaMode is a global online magazine in a blog-style format, or what I would like to call a onlineZine. With a focus on Fashion, Swimwear and Culture editorials. LaMode Magazine is not seasonal with its editorials because we like to shoot imagery that is on point to what we think will entertain you as the reader with our point of view.
