Capturing the beauty of your every day surroundings can sometimes be a bit of a challenge. But to do it in a way to make it look better than what it actually looks like is something of a art form. Which is why photography is a art form in more ways than none.
So for this culture editorial I chose to do the Rose bay to Rushcutters bay walk. Something I haven't done before but really enjoyed, because it was like being a tourist in my own home town. But the real challenge for me was to make it look 10 times better than it looks and to do that with natural light can sometimes be a little difficult if you can't get the light you want. So choosing the right time of the day was critical for this editorial ......and yes it was a sunny day. But the time was essential to creating the images that I wanted.
So as you will see when scrolling down the images that have been carefully selected, it will reflect what Rose bay and Ruscutters bay are and always will be.
Beauty, Art, and History.
