Splash of colour...... I think that's what will be all that is needed for Summer which is just around the corner if the weather is anything to go by today in Sydney!!! Not to much more is needed to be said after my post from last Monday aka "Black Swan". The wheels are also in motion with my book as well......lots of exciting shoots being planned over the next couple of weeks to help launch "Surface to Soul" think..... swimwear, body, beach and sand. All being the main theme's for the shoots. Till next week. Make-up: Frances Fraser Model: Maria@ Debut Management Embro Shift Dress. Summers Day
Always believe the hype.....When reviewing the clothes for Shakuhachi's Spring collection my options were endless for me to chose from for my first brand profile editorial. Some of the cuts were to good to pass up as you will see in the first part of a two part story.......the 2nd part I will post next week.
Not really much of a fashion commentator but the two piece's that I picked for this mini story have clean lines and a beautiful silhouette shape. Which helps me convey a story of elegance and style in a urban setting. As for Maria my model she was out of this world! moving softly from pose to pose. Like a black swan in motion....what more could any fashion photographer ask for!!!!! Make-up and Hair/ Frances Fraser Model/ Maria@Debut management All clothes/Shakuhachi Spring 2014 My day shooting Juvhan was not only special to me but also very delightful as well. Her soothing voice and her killer looks. This girl has a very promising career ahead of her.
The song I have for you to listen too is "Sail" it is a cover from a band called Awolnation. I think you will find the song very captivating. As for the following editorial words can not describe how easy it was to seize each moment she presented to me when I was shooting her. Keep a look out for the name Juvhan!!!!! Make-up by Connie G Cenitennal Park, Sydney.......... Photographic opportunity's glory. A fest for your eye's.
This is the second time in the last 5 months I have had the chance to walk around this amazing park and take pictures. The first time was at a friends wedding, the second time was a afternoon with my camera strapped to the front of my face. Walking around snapping away and with no time restrictions on me to get my shots. I find shooting landscapes very relaxing. Unlike a fashion shoot were there is always a time restriction on you to get the shots you and or your client wants. Because I shoot mostly on location, when the light starts to fad so does my time.Anyway shooting landscapes for me is about the mood that you are tiring to capture at that time of the day that you are shooting. I felt that I have capture a certain mood or feel to the following shots below......moody and artistic if there is a way of describing the pictures. The one thing I have noticed thru out my career is that I have found everyone see's things differently........especially ME!!!!. So you can make up your own mind!!!! For my next editorial I have a special profile that I was commissioned to shoot last week. Say tuned. |
