When I am doing the post production on my own shoots e.g LaMode or a editorial for another magazine I always try and push the boundaries with the retouching. I am always trying to get something different but not to over the top that doesn't look un-fashion or not fashion so to speak. So when I was working on part two of the Maria story I was trying to make it look easy on the eye but yet still striking!!! Not to sure if I have done that has I let my work speak for it's self but if I was to comment on anything about this editorial I do think I have nailed it on the head in the way that I have captured the readers attention but that is my point of view....LOL. Enjoy The Doll House.
The Doll House
Love shooting Black and White........and more to the point I love shooting in a cinematic style when ever it calls for it and in this case, it was with the lovely Maria from my swim editorial The Wake up Call. I am never one to turn down a opportunity to shoot a beautiful woman especially one like Maria. Who when I was in conversation with last week said to me she had all these's ideas in her head that she would like to do for a shoot, so after I had a look at the reference's she sent me my answer was yes "I would love to do it" Which was the first step to creating this editorial "Film Noire"...........A budding young actor her self she not only moved from frame to frame with ease but took direction very well as most actors do as you can imagine. Working with someone before always makes it easier to capture the what you want and in this case it was Maria.
I like to mix it up with my editorials in LaMode Magazine, never getting to obvious with what I am going to throw up next. As it keeps my readers interested in what I will do next. So that leads me to this point I would like to make .......everyone loves a beautiful woman and I am talking about both genders not just men!!!! Which is why my editorials with the female form seem to be more popular funny that.
Moving along a big thank you Erin Carroll Design's for the clothes in this editorial. Check out her stuff and her brand profile I did on her earlier this year for LaMode. You can find that here Erin Carroll .........Till next week were you will be able to check out my second part of my shoot with Maria.
First off this isn't a editorial for LaMode magazine. But what this post is all about is my Kick Starter campaign for my second book the follow up to "Surface to Soul"
I have attached the cover and some pic's from my first book and a link to my Kick Starter campaign. Please check it out and pledge to it. As it will make a wonderful collection to anyone who collects photography books or if you like the idea of "Swim Body Culture" it's self. I also have smaller pledges available as well e.g a set of prints for 20$ etc.
This project is very special to me as it will allow me to create a amazing piece of art that not only I can be proud of but everyone else that works on it as well.

LaMode is a global online magazine in a blog-style format, or what I would like to call a blogZine. With a focus on Fashion, Swimwear and Culture editorials. LaMode Magazine is not seasonal with its editorials because we like to shoot imagery that is on point to what we think will entertain you as the reader with our point of view.
