I had the pleasure of being commissioned to shoot singer Juvhan over the last 3 to 4 years and every time I have shot her there is a little bit more magic that comes out of our shoots every time. This editorial was for her website that is soon to be launched. The shoot was very well planned and also very spontaneous at the same time as most of my shoots are as not all the shots you plan always go to plan. We tried to pull a darker side to her as you will see in the pic's below and as well as show a emotional one as well. It was a nice break away from shooting swim and fashion which I have done a lot of over the last 4 months.
I hope you like her video as she as she is one talent to look out for.
For this shoot I decide to break away from shooting colour and shoot most of this editorial in black and white. I love shooting in black and white as it gives the reader a different prospective of what the world would be like if you could wear glasses that could translate colour to black and white. Don't get me wrong I love shooting colour, but when I came up with the concept of this shoot I was really focusing on the rawness and shape and form of the model (Kirsty Macphail from Viviens) and using the surroundings to create a mood.
We are only half way through the Southern Hemisphere Summer and things are only just starting to heat up not only here at LaMode Magazine but weather wise as well. Stay tune to LaMode for more swim shoots.

Crisp And Clean
You don't realise how lucky you are when you live in Sydney when you are only ever about 20-30 minutes drive from the a beach, unless you live next to one. And not to mention that most of them are pretty dam good, so it doesn't really matter which one you chose.
It's more how you want to look on the beach that really matters the most. So for this editorial I drove up to Palm beach, one of the most amazing beaches in Sydney in my opinion and I am sure I can find a number of people who will second that. I chose a part of Palm beach that is hidden away from harms way and has the most beautiful clear water and the most golden sand in this part of the world ever!!!
If you follow LaMode magazine you may remember that I have mentioned that I will have a sister site up and running soon. That sister site will be called LaMode swim and will have a small selection of swimwear you can buy online and have sent to you for next to nothing. And here's a small secret into were I will be shooting the campaign, it will be up somewhere in the Northern beaches in Sydney( funny that). Stay tuned because in about two weeks it will be hitting LaModes pages for your eyes and wallets to enjoy. Till then enjoy "Crisp and Clean"

First editorial for 2016......This one is not a bad one to start it off with. The second part of the LaMode Swim Campaign for my online swim shop. These's images didn't make the cut but where good enough to make the second part of this editorial.
If you love the look click on the link and treat your self to a post Christmas present. I won't be holding back on the swim shoots either. We are only a third of the way through the Australian Summer so why not keep it going right? Anyway watch this space for more swim editorials.

LaMode is a global online magazine in a blog style format, or what I would like to call a blogZine. With a focus on Fashion, Swimwear and Culture editorials. LaMode Magazine is not seasonal with it's editorials because we like to shoot imagery that is on point to what we think will entertain you as the reader with our point of view.
