Style it up before you warm down
So about 3 weeks ago I posted the beauty part of this editorial and today you get to see the rest of the story I shot. With the wonderful and truly charming Kasey who is from Texas who is modelling out here for about 3 months. She was not only every charming but truly wonderful to work with as all the models that I have worked with in the past.
I don't get to shoot that much fitness so when my stylist asked me if she would like to do a fitness shoot, of course I said "yes" .......Like any other shoot there was a concept, location scouting and one of the most important things and I call them the star of the shoot and that is the casting of the "Model"
A good model can make or break a shoot and I am not talking about if they can move but there look e.g if it is suitable for the concept that you are shooting..... and you guessed it Kasey hit it right on the mark.
We kept the hair simple by pulling it back into a pony tail but I have to admit that there were moments during the day I wanted to have her hair down and flowing.
I love a concept that involves moulding the models body into the scene and using the lines to enhance the picture. I also love black and white but then again which photographer doesn't? So after 780 something frames I narrowed it down to 11 shots .....by the way it's never to edit down my shoots as there are so many good shots. But it's what you are looking for and which shots will gel to make the story and these are the ones that did.
So to further a do the next time you want to work out make sure you "Style It Up"
