I love shooting late in the afternoon when I am in Sydney. The light that time of the day is sometimes a little tricky to work with as it can cast some pretty hash shadows, but used to your advantage you can shoot some moody sometimes ciniamatic images. The ones below were shoot around 4pm so thats when the light was starting to go down.....and has you can see they are not only moody but in some ways striking and a touch bold. When I shoot my culture editrorials I usually shoot in black and white and don't retouch them in any shape or form so it gives them a journalistic feel to them.
Moving along Bundeena in my opinon is one of Sydney's hidden treasures, about a hour away from the city and then a 25 minute ferry ride from Cronulla. This ride can be a bit choppy but it's worth it when you get there!!! If you like to spend the day at the beach with hardly anyone in sight then this could be the place for you if not enjoy Twilight.
